Puerto Rico Gets $365M for Solar Power

The U.S. Department of Energy announced $365 million to install solar and battery storage systems in Puerto Rico. Funds will help power public housing, healthcare centers, and dialysis clinics, tackling chronic outages worsened since Hurricane Maria.

Florida Solar Power Keeps Soaring

Florida is set to lead the U.S. in residential solar by 2028, with nearly 30,000 installations added this year. Clean energy incentives and rising demand after hurricanes drive the growth, despite utility pushback. Florida also ranks second nationally for new solar capacity and boosts U.S. solar manufacturing.
