“My friend told me I didn’t need to know how to install solar – they would teach me everything I needed to know,” Renee recalls. This leap of faith paid off, as Renee was able to leverage her customer service skills and quickly gain technical expertise by starting in the service department.

Now a Branch Manager at Freedom Forever, a leading solar provider, Renee has found immense fulfillment in her work. “I take real pride in working on new family homes in Madera and Kerman, California,” Renee explains. “I’m very family oriented, and I take pride in helping families move into new homes with built-in solar technology.”

“When I first started, I would sometimes have homeowners question my expertise simply because I’m a woman,” Renee recalls. “They’d look at me and wonder, ‘What does she know about solar?’” 

Rather than let those doubts deter her, Renee doubled down on her efforts to educate and empower her clients. “I made it my mission to explain things in a way that they could really understand,” she says. “I wanted to show them that I knew my stuff, and that I was there to provide the best possible service.”
