In the heart of a rural community, Virginia Robinson works as a Furnace Tempering Operator at Luxwall, where she contributes to creating energy-efficient windows that are making a big impact.

“When people think about the clean energy industry, they think about solar panels, wind turbines, and things like that,” Virginia says. “The windows we make here not only have less environmental impact, but they also help economically by reducing the energy needed to heat and cool homes, offices, and buildings. It’s a good way to help the environment.”

Luxwall operates in a building with deep roots in the region’s history. “This area has always been heavily automotive—it’s been our bread and butter,” Virginia explains. “The building we’re in used to be part of that legacy, but now it’s been transformed into a space dedicated to clean energy innovation. It’s a great fit for the area.”

Virginia’s rural surroundings also reflect her connection to the natural world. “If you’re looking for a camping spot, I could do better in my own backyard,” she jokes, highlighting her appreciation for the environment she’s helping to protect.

By blending the area’s industrial past with a clean energy future, Virginia and her team at Luxwall are proving that innovation and tradition can work hand in hand for a sustainable tomorrow.
